Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) is a health concern that needs better understanding in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region. Delays in diagnosis and suboptimal management may lead to poor patient outcomes. Understanding the current standards of patient care and identifying challenges would allow a more ideal approach in the diagnosis and management of ITP patients.
This meeting will examine the existing paradigm in the diagnosis and management of adult ITP in the MENA region and explore clinical challenges faced by clinicians. In this meeting, attempts would also be made to identify the scientific gaps unique to the region and a critical review of current clinical data in addressing the needs would be done.
With this background, we are delighted to welcome you to this Regional ITP advisory board meeting and look forward to a fruitful discussion. Your expert opinion in understanding the disease dynamics as well as management remains truly valuable to our program. The board members’ discussion and consensus would help Novartis to define areas of paucity and plan future research.

Objectives of this meeting are:
1. To understand the current treatment paradigm and explore clinical challenges posed during diagnosis and management of ITP in the MENA region.
2. To review current clinical data that addresses the needs and identifies scientific gaps in the MENA region.
